2021 Earth Day Reflection
Some reflections
on EARTH DAY
Ever since we started our business in 2014, KEMALA strives to do what we can to be mindful and kinder to the environment in which we live. This is a continuous journey for us that is not easy and far from perfect, but we believe that little steps matter in the long run.
We focus on local and sustainably-sourced materials that highlight their natural characters. We venture our classic designs in clay, wood and natural fibres. Our products are finely handcrafted by local artisans, capturing our love for the authentic artistry of our community. Some of the raw materials we use often come from offcuts leftover from mass production. By doing so, KEMALA hopes to create beautiful goods that take into consideration our impact on the environment without compromising exquisite craftsmanship.
We are convinced that an important part of conscious consumption is choosing durable, functional items that can last a lifetime. This is why quality and craftsmanship are always at the forefront of our production cycle.
Going forward, KEMALA hopes to do more by further emphasizing our “less plastic” endeavour throughout our business processes. We will use zero plastic whenever possible, opt for more sustainable materials like recycled paper, and ensure packaging that can be reused or easily recycled.
Let us all do our little part in conserving the planet that we all cherish.
Happy Earth Day, everyone.
